Jordan Friedman, mph: the stress coach
Nobody does stress like Jordan Friedman. He survived the largest brain tumor on record, years of extreme vision loss and disabling denial to become a public health expert in stress management education. Jordan’s unique and inspiring experiences motivate his audiences to deal productively with challenge, change and crisis. His 20-years of developing and delivering skill-focused, Seinfeld-esque programs provide thousands of students and professionals with effective stress reduction tools from a real teacher. 

Jordan’s engaging and informed MTV-meets-PBS style is a hallmark of his Weapons Of Stress Reduction and Speaking Without Freaking seminars, his book, The Stress Manager’s Manual, and Relaxation's Greatest Hits, his instructive and calming CD of guided stress reduction techniques. You may already know Jordan as a voice of 'Alice,' the first online source of straight-forward answers to stress, sex and other wellness questions on Columbia University’s acclaimed Go Ask Alice website. As longtime director of Columbia’s health education program, Jordan penned hundreds of Internet and newspaper columns on everything from muscular relaxation to bedtime communication, and co-authored the popular Go Ask Alice Book Of Answers

In addition to providing stress management training to groups and individuals, Jordan works with a variety of institutional and corporate clients to manage, enhance and market their health promotion and communication efforts.  He studied stress management education at the University of Maryland, followed by a degree in public health from New York University. 

When Jordan's not on the road, he lives, works and manages his own stress in

New York City.
